Dakota Moon Twenty

We helped Dakota to the Rainbow Bridge earlier this evening. She simply could not overcome the damage done by the kidney failure.

Thank you all for your love and well wishes over the past several days. Dakota knew she was loved by many.

This is mom to the Beaglebratz - it is so sad when one of our furry, four-legged family members crosses the Bridge. Even tho we know they are better off now, feeling no discmfort and are whole and well again, our grief is still there. Yes, you will heal - but for now all you feel is sadness and grief when you think of your sweet Dakota. I know the Beaglebratz join me in saying that we are so sorry for your loss.

Hello,
I lost my 16 year old dog to kidney disease. She lived for 6 weeks with the disease. She also was epilitic. I gave her fluids, special food, and I did everything to keep her going well. She didn't make it, but it was a blessing to release her from a very broken body. She was having a seizure due to an anorism burting in her kidney. I'm so glad I didn't see the blood. My princess's gums were as white as snow when she died.

I'm so sorry your Dakota had to go through Kidney disease. Things will get easier and harder. You accept and know your little girl(as with me, Sylvie, won't be there), but you (as I do) always miss them. At least that is how it is with me. I know my Sylvie was so sick, that it was a blessing;but, I miss her so much.

In short, I am so sorry about what happened. Kidney disease is just horrible.

Oh no!! We just heard about Dakota's passing. My Mommy cried & cried as she read this news. Mommy's first dachsie, Samantha, died at 14 1/2 in 2005 from a combination of cushings, diabeties and finally renal failure. Mommy had to help her baby to the bridge too and she is sure that your baby and hers are running & playing together...pain free.

Your family will be in our thoughts and payers. My Mommy's nickname is Sadie and we have a best dachsie friend named Bandit.
Everytime she thinks about Dakota she will visualize all 3 of them.

Keep them close to your hearts.

God Bless....Mona

I am very sorry for your loss. As we speak our Husky has been diagnosed with the same. He just lays down and doesnt interact. he will be 4 yrs in August. He went to the Vet for 2 days and was very chipper and talkative. within 24 hrs he went back downhill to being quiet and laying around. He is now back at the Vet awaiting more tests. HIs Calcium is elevated but his other numbers have come back into the normal levels. We dont know how this happened. it is a trying time as you know. I was not a fan of our husky when we got him.."Trapper" is his name. but i have to say...he has grown on me like no other dog. My longtime girlfriend had one for a long time and she wanted one again...so i suprised her with Trapper almost 4 yrs ago...it took me 2 yrs to warm up to himn...now there is an understanding...i am just enamoured with him. well anyway, sorry to ramble on but i am just very sad right now and hope Trapper gets better. I am very sorry for your loss and hope that we dont have to go down this road just yet.
